Leverett House is located in the Beautiful Sangre de Cristo mountains -- at an elevation of 9,300 feet, and one mile from the Slopes of Taos Ski Valley. It is the Leverett family’s "home away from home" and is available to other families for short-term rental. The 1,350 square-foot home has a large living area with a huge fireplace, a lovely dining room, and wonderful views of the surrounding forest, where winter and summer fun is abundant!
The house is somewhat secluded, but easily accessible to great trout fishing and wilderness hiking in the summertime. In the area, we often have sightings of mountain sheep, deer, bear, and a number of bird varieties. The Leverett House is an easy drive to Taos.

From the Town of Taos - North through Taos: following N.M. Highway 3 to a stoplight where a large sign reads: “Taos Ski Valley”. A Service Station will be on your left just before the light and right turn. You will have come about six miles from the Taos Plaza. At the light turn right onto county highway 150. At this point the Leverett House is about 13 miles. Proceed through a small village called Arroyo Seco (watch the curves) and follow the Taos Ski Valley signs. Upon entering the Carson National Forrest you have about 6 to 7 miles to go. Keep watching for the Austing Haus, Columbine Inn and the Amizette Inn signs. When you are directly across from the Amizette Inn and just past the Columbine Inn, turn left. The Leverett House is the first house on your right after turning.
Notice: If arrival is after dark take a flashlight. |
